Lord Jameson Is USDA Organic Certified
Ever since the beginning, Lord Jameson has been a fan of organic food. Our goal has always been to provide your dog with healthy and delicious treats that are made with all-natural ingredients. As the saying goes, "you are what you eat" and this is why we make our treats without any artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. They're made without any GMOs and are even vegan friendly, too! All of the ingredients in our organic dog treats can be found at your local farmer's market (and can easily be pronounced)!
Some of the delicious ingredients in our dog treats are coconuts, peanut butter, rolled oats, turmeric, sweet potatoes, strawberries, blueberries, carrots, and several others... All of which are all-natural and 100% organic!
Eating organic is really important to us because it can be the difference between living a healthy lifestyle or not. It's so easy to keep eating processed foods, and before you know it, this could lead to serious health issues in the future such as obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure, etc. The same goes for your dog... As dog owners, you want the best for your furry friend, so feeding them healthy, non-processed foods is extremely important for their overall health and well-being.

Lord Jameson is USDA Organic Certified!
You may be thinking, "What does USDA Organic Certification mean?" Simply put: only products that meet a strict set of standards can be called 'organic certified by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The government started these guidelines in 2002 as an effort at reducing pesticide use and promoting healthier eating habits.
To become certified as organic in the United States, a farmer must adhere to strict guidelines which prohibit any synthetic chemicals from being used on their crops. These farmers are also required by law not only to use natural fertilizers like manure and compost but they cannot even plant genetically modified seeds or plants where prohibited by state laws. What's more, is that there's no heavy equipment allowed for harvesting - so you know your food was handpicked with care fresh off the farm.
This has always been important to us as we love supporting locals and we also handle our treats with as much love and care as we can. All of our healthy dog treats are hand-rolled by our amazing team in Boulder, Colorado and as the back of the bag of our treats state, there is "love in every bite"!
Our dog treats are made without any:
- Toxins and persistent pesticides
- Artificial flavors, colors or preservatives
- Synthetic growth hormones
- Antibiotics
- GMOs
- Irradiation
As stated on the USDA website, "When packaged products indicate they are “made with organic [specific ingredient or food group],” this means they contain at least 70% organically produced ingredients. The remaining non-organic ingredients are produced without using prohibited practices (genetic engineering, for example) but can include substances that would not otherwise be allowed in 100% organic products. “Made with organic” products will not bear the USDA organic seal, but, as with all other organic products, must still identify the USDA-accredited certifier."
